Something to celebrate

Yesterday around 5pm, Les's left leg "jumped". Mom was very excited and wanted to go tell the nurses right away. Les, of course, didn't think telling them was necessary. He did say it hurt when it moved. There were several times throughout the evening when he was able to wiggle his toes or move the foot briefly.

Today is about the same. The toes are still moving and we are encouraged. He was really tired after radiation, so I'm sure a nap is on the agenda for the afternoon.

The picture of Mom and Dad was from Easter Sunday. The one by himself was taken on Wednesday night. Thank you so much for keeping Les in your thoughts and prayers!

  3. WOOOO HOOOO, Les. Keep those toes jumping - you might have more celebrating to do tomorrow. If I counted correctly, it's your 45th Wedding Anniversary....Hugs to both of you....

  4. The picture you posted of your Mom & Dad from yesterday is such a great one that brings back so many memories. I can still see & taste all of the "snacks" your Mom would have your Dad pack in the car for our get togethers! I can imagine your Dad use to quietly mumble, "How could we need so many snacks for such a short time together." But we NEVER had a hard time with that at all. I remember always looking forward to your Mom's "usual" goodies and then there'd always be one new surprise!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you daily. Thanks for keeping us up to date with your Dad.
    Love,

  5. We are celebrating a "jumping leg" also. It's amazing how we can think huge and then be so gratful that God gives a "pathway" of blessings. Our prayer is that God will keep that jouney of blessings going.

  6. I just read about the problem with the other leg and am concerned about what will be found. You are in my constant thoughts and prayers...as we all hope for a miracle. Love to all from Michigan.
