Return to the Care Center tomorrow?

The meds helped Les's count to increase today and they are expecting big numbers by tomorrow. Masks and gowns were not required today since he is getting better. They cleared him of pneumonia (not sure if the xray was incorrect or if it just cleared up quickly with all the high dose antibiotics). They did find ecoli in the infection in the bladder, but they are confident it is getting better. Depending on his numbers tomorrow, he may be returning to the Ashland Care Center. If/when his numbers are high enough to resume chemo in the future (next week), they will give him the meds to boost white blood cells before chemo starts as a preventative. The heart burn/acid reflux is continuing to bother him and his Nexium has been increased. He is also taking Maalox before he eats to cover his stomach.

Thanks for your continued positive thoughts and prayers.

  4. Phew.....thank goodness! I'd hate for you to fall behind on your Wheel of Fortune episodes. You're getting soooooo good at it. Nothing like kicking back with a Maalox Malt and watching Vana turn those letters! :)

Seriously though, I'm so glad it wasn't pneumonia and you are feeling a little better. Lots of love to you!!!!!

  5. Well my friends and I tee off at 8:50 at the good ole Ashland CC for a Tourney, which I take is for your Breast Fest. We were pretty excited when we heard the cause. Can't beat golfing for Breasts, oops I mean Breast Cancer. We're pumped as it should be a lot of fun.

After we saw you on Saturday, Makenna, Kim, Dad and I all stopped in to the legendary Cheri O's and it does have the best shakes.

Be ready Saturday morning as I may stop in for an impromptu golf lesson....I need it horribly.

God Bless you Uncle Les and Aunt Carolyn.

    Love,
    Jeff
