Still with us...
Such a long night. Mom, Nat, Terry, Dan (until he went home to sleep with the kids), and I stayed throughout the night in Les's room. His breathing continues to be very labored and he had a fever of about 103˚F in the middle of the night. He seems much less congested and they continue to give him pain meds every hour. Thank you for your comments and for checking in.

sending buckets of love and strength your way...and bless your bravery for keeping us updated..it must be so difficult for you. Can you imagine the reception waiting for the wonderful man that creates and leaves such a loving, amazing, beautiful family?! We shall all be so sad and missing him but what a celebration they get to have!! God bless you, with love...
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for Les to be on his journey to kiss the face of God! But how sad for all those he will leave behind. Our prayers are with you all as they have been during this battle. May the good Lord bring peace to all of Les' family & friends as we say our final goodbyes.

Carolyn and family,
ReplyDeleteWe are so sorry but we know that he is going to a much better home with his Lord. This reminds me so much of what we went through with Lonnie. You are in our prayers and May God Bless each of you and hold you in his Loving Arms. We love you. Marge, Harold, and family.
I can't find words to express my concern for all of you. God is in charge and will not give any of us more than we can bear, but your heart can be pretty full as you try to understand God's plan. Gather your family close and lean on one another. Thank you for continuing to maintain the blog. We all rely on it for updates. My continued prayers are with you all. . .God bless each and every one of you!!! Connie S.
ReplyDeleteWhen Dad moved to Florida, Grandma gave him this prayer card, which he kept in his wallet until he was in the hospital. He liked it so much, he wanted us to each have a copy. Maybe it will give you a little bit of peace as it did me.
ReplyDeleteI said a prayer for you today
And know God must have heard
I felt the answer in my heart
Although He spoke no word
I didn’t ask for wealth or fame
(I knew you wouldn’t mind)
I asked Him to send treasures
Of a far more lasting kind
I ask that He’d be near you
At the start of each new day
To grant you health and blessings
And friends to share your way
I ask for happiness for you
In all things great and small
But it was for His loving care
I prayed for most of all
Our hearts are with all the family. Les has always been special to us & this makes us very sad.
ReplyDeleteTake care of each other .

We just returned from vacation to our families in North Dakota and was so saddened to learn that this is the outcome of Les's life..What a wonderful and smiley man he is and if the outcome can not be for a fulfilling live then God must have special plans for him...What a journey we all have been on these last few months and cant thank you enough for allowing us to go there with you. Just let the love of your family and your friends help you thro these very trying days.God bless each one of you..We continue to pray for all of you. The Elliotts

ReplyDeleteDennis & I revisited the blog from Thursday June 25th and found much comfort in it. We were so lucky to have Les as our friend, and you are blessed to have had such a great man be beside you all. It is so hard to "Let Go...Let God", but heaven will be a much better place with Les in it.
