Thank you for everything...

A week has passed since my father died, and sadly, life goes on without him. We had such a great turn out for the visitation and the service...over 600 people altogether. The turn out for the golf outing was great too, as you can see by the picture.

We hope you know how much we have appreciated all your cards, phone calls, emails and hugs. They will get us through the bad days. We plan to print this blog and make some sort of book out of it...a remembrance of the struggle and heartache, but more importantly, the support of family and community.

I may not post to this blog again, but it will remain up and active if anyone wants to leave a memory about a great man.

  1. Thanks so much for keeping the blog up to date through the last few months. We checked it two to three times a day or more. You've all been in our thoughts and prayers and continue to be. We know what you're going through and it's very very tough times, but thank goodness for wonderful friends and family which helps so much during the good times and bad times.

  2. I will miss the blog. It kept me informed and reconnected me with all of you. You were so good about keeping all of us informed, and we were able to appreciate the closeness of your family. Each day will introduce all of you to more ways to miss Les, but your memories, friends and love for one another will make each day possible. I still keep you in my prayers and know that you will find solace with God and with one another. Connie S

  4. It's been about a year since Les got sick, and started this journey. I still think about him often and smile at the memories. We all know he's happy in heaven, but I know it's still tough for you here on earth. I just want you to know we think about you often. God bless!
